When a client buys a diamond engagement ring, they rarely volunteer that information explicitly. But they will, if you ask. "Is this for a special occasion?" followed by "Would you like us to remember this date for you?" is a question almost every client says yes to.

That date โ€” the anniversary of the purchase, the anniversary it marks, or the birthday it celebrates โ€” is the most valuable piece of data in a jewelry CRM. Because anniversaries recur. Every year, on the same date, there is a moment when that client is thinking about the person they bought that ring for. And if you reach them three weeks before that date with a personalised message, you are the first call they make.

The trigger architecture

Anniversary intelligence requires three things: occasion capture at point of sale, a calendar trigger system, and a personalised outreach mechanism. Most jewelry stores have the first (staff note the occasion) but lack the second and third.

LoyoraPay's jewelry platform captures purchase occasions in the client profile and triggers personalised WhatsApp messages on a schedule configured by the store: three weeks before, one week before, and on the day. Each message is personalised to the client's name, the occasion, and their current loyalty tier.

Stores using this system report that 34% of clients who receive an anniversary message make a purchase within 30 days. Without the trigger, that repurchase rate drops to 8%.
